Sunday Postcard Art - Turquoise

The very talented Sandy has set us the challenge to use turquoise. This is a colour that Sandy often uses to amazing effect in her work. I too am very fond of turquoise as you can see from my blog colours, and this week, planning a summer holiday, I was reminded of the turquoise waters of the Blue Grotto on Sicily and this prompted a mermaid theme. The background is twinkling H2Os with ink spray and Stewart Gill Alchemy paint, unfortunately the shimmer does not show that well in the scan. Her fishy tail is Starburst Stains embossed in silver.

Wow! You really do think outside the frame and the results are truly stunning. I love your mermaid swimming in her turquoise sea. Wonderful take on the challenge.
